Arboreal Work
Having spent some considerable time swinging around in trees, lopping off branches and felling trees to make room for ropes courses it's not too surprising that we have become adept at this. We are able to provide full arboreal surveys, felling, dead-wooding and general arboreal work specifically to outdoor activity providers who have to take into account the necessity of customer safety |
Improvements - Alterations - Upgrades We often find ourselves inspecting courses course built by other High Rope construction companies. Some pass with flying colours - sadly some won't. We have considerable experience of improving, altering and upgrading courses |
|
We have successfully applied for and gained planning permission for many different types of customers, constructions and locations. Planning permission is not a difficult thing to apply for once you have the knowledge. However gaining that knowledge, can be a frustrating experience when you are busy running your own business. We are happy to make planning applications on your behalf which will include the following:
Please do contact us for a quotation. You may be surprised at how cost effective our services are! As a guide we would charge £295 plus expenses for the planning permission work required for a 'Pi' course. This assumes one site visit, one meeting with local council planning authority and would not include any appeals. |

Tumblehome and Prussik can carry out inspections of all types of adventure constructions. We have inspected Climbing/Abseil towers, internal/external climbing walls, poles courses, cow tail courses in trees, assault courses, zip wires and initiative exercises.
Should you decide to contact us for a quotation or inspection our procedure is as follows:
We will ask you to provide us with this information
Once we have established the type, build standards and history of your adventure construction we will undertake an inspection visit using these guidelines:
Once the inspection is completed we will then provide a detailed report of our findings, with a checklist of all items inspected and photographic evidence of the condition of all aspects of the items inspected on the day of the installation.
Should the course require any minor maintenance this can normally be carried out immediately. For major maintenance we will be happy to advise you on the best course of action to take.
Please do contact us for a quotation. As a guide we charge £190 per day plus expenses. Our working day starts at 0800 and finishes at 1730. We would expect to fully inspect a large installation similar to the 'Pi' course, do routine maintenance - greasing, tightening etc and write reports in that time.
Notes on Standards There are many standards which have been applied to High Ropes constructions over the last few years, most notably EN 12572 which is for Artificial Climbing structures The current situation in the UK is that EN 15567, which has been initially accepted by the Health and Safety Executive, will soon become the definitive standard. We are also members of the European Ropes Course Association and will use their extensive guidelines to determine the stability of your equipment If your Adventure Construction does not comply with these standards we will be happy to advise on the best course of action to get your facility up to speed with the latest standards
